Richard Church

Buffalo Ranch, Concord, NC

To countless Concord children in the 1960s and 1970s, the friendliest face at the Concord Police Department was Sgt. Richard Church. Church’s “beat” was the local schools, which he frequented, sharing safety tips with students. He also hosted tours of the department and its law-enforcement equipment.
